StorySmith policies
Terms of Service
Version 1.1 · Effective June 22, 2026
You retain ownership of original creative content you submit. You grant StorySmith only the limited permission necessary to store, process, display, protect, and export that content for service operation.
Subscriptions, trials, credits, and founder access follow the terms shown at purchase. Purchased credits do not expire. Subscription credits reset with their billing cycle.
StorySmith may suspend access when required for safety, fraud prevention, nonpayment, or serious policy violations while preserving access required for billing, settings, and export where practical.
Ownership and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the original creative content you submit to or create through StorySmith, including manuscripts, stories, characters, notes, project information, and uploaded materials. StorySmith does not claim ownership of your original creative work.
You grant StorySmith only the limited rights reasonably necessary to host, store, process, display, protect, transmit, and export your content and to provide features you request through the service.
StorySmith and its owner retain all rights, title, and interest in the StorySmith service and its underlying technology, including its software, source and object code, platform architecture, interfaces, workflows, designs, documentation, branding, trademarks, proprietary systems, tools, and other StorySmith-created materials. Your subscription grants you permission to use the service according to your account and plan; it does not transfer ownership of StorySmith or its underlying technology to you.
Feature Requests and Feedback
Members may voluntarily submit ideas, suggestions, feedback, feature requests, workflow concepts, or recommendations for improving StorySmith. Submitting feedback does not transfer ownership of your existing creative content to StorySmith.
By submitting a feature request or other product feedback, you acknowledge that StorySmith may use, evaluate, modify, combine, implement, or decline that suggestion without restriction or obligation to compensate you. Any software, functionality, workflows, interfaces, designs, code, systems, or other implementations created by StorySmith in response to user feedback remain the intellectual property of StorySmith.
A suggestion or feature request does not give the submitting member ownership rights in the resulting StorySmith feature or implementation.
StorySmith may already be developing, considering, or receiving similar ideas from other sources, and no exclusive rights arise from submitting a suggestion.
StorySmith does not claim ownership of AI-generated output produced for your account, and to the extent StorySmith possesses transferable rights in that output, those rights are provided to you subject to applicable law and any underlying provider terms.
